A Local Locksmith Built on Doing It Right
Recommended Locksmith was started by a small crew of Maryland-licensed locksmiths who were tired of watching pricing scams and bait-and-switch ads steer customers wrong. We rebuilt the company around a simple promise: real local technicians, transparent quoting, and respect for the customer’s home or business, every single visit.
Who we are
We’re a local Maryland locksmith team dispatched out of Rockville. Every tech is part of our in-house crew, fully trained, licensed in Maryland, and every tech goes through ongoing training on residential, commercial, smart, and high-security work. Our dispatchers are local too: when you call, you’re talking to someone who actually knows the difference between Twinbrook and Tysons Corner.
What we do
We focus on residential and commercial locksmith services, homes, condos, apartments, offices, retail, restaurants, medical suites, and multi-unit buildings. That includes 24/7 emergency lockouts, full lock changes, rekeys, smart-lock installs, and master key system design. We deliberately do not offer automotive key programming, transponder work, or ECU diagnostics. Those are different specialties and we’d rather refer you to a great auto locksmith than do a mediocre job ourselves.
How we price
Every Recommended Locksmith call gets an honest quote on the phone, before we dispatch. When the tech arrives, that quote is confirmed in writing before any work begins. There are no "trip fee plus hidden labor" surprises and no inflated late-night surcharges. You only ever approve work you’re comfortable with.
